Nobuhle is KZN Match Play Champion
Former South African Match Play Champion, Nobuhle Dlamini added another trophy to her already overflowing cabinet when she won the 2012 KwaZulu Natal match play championship at Maritzburg Golf Club yesterday.
Lara celebrates a great six under par victory in KZN
After her nine-stroke landslide victory at the KwaZulu Natal Stroke Play Championships played yesterday at Maritzburg Golf Club, 17-year old Lara Weinstein must be a firm favourite to pick up the coveted Nomads SA Girls’ Rose Bowl at Pearl Valley Golf Estate next week.
Nicole Loesch wins match play at Royal Cape
Nicole Loesch secured the Match Play title at the Western Province Championships played this week at Royal Cape Golf Club with a 3/2 victory over Alana van Greuning. She is pictured here receiving her trophy from Andrew Kalis, Marketing and Product Manager, TaylorMade Golf.
Fifteen-year old wins first Provincial title
Fifteen-year-old Se Young Chun 75-75 (150) lifted the champion’s trophy when she outplayed the field at the Western Province Championships played at Royal Cape Golf Club. This is Chun’s first provincial title.
Nobuhle Dlamini wins second Privincial Championship of 2012
In a storm interrupted and subsequently shortened tournament, Gauteng North’s Nobuhle Dlamini won the 2012 North West championship on a two-under par 70 with Alana Van Greuning (Mpumalanga) winning the count-out into second place from top-ranked Kim Williams, both players returning level par 72.

Lara wins KeNako World Juniors, carding seven birdies in the final round
Going into the final round of the KeKako World Juniors, played at Kingswood Golf Estate his week, top SA junior Lara Weinstein was one behind the leader Boland’s Olivia le Roux. Seven birdies later, she lifted the winner’s trophy and also the girls’ team trophy with team member Bianca Theron.

Alana is Border’s Match Play Champion
Mpumalanga’s Alana van Greuning won the Border Match Play Championship on Tuesday this week when she defeated Ekurhuleni’s Chevonne Botha 5/4 in the 18 hole final. The event was played at the picturesque East London Golf Club. Alana received her trophy from Border President Louise van Niekerk.
Lara wins Border champs on two under par at East London Golf Club
Top ranked Junior Lara Weinstein carded a four under 69 in the first round of the Border Championships played at East London Golf Club yesterday and with her one-over 73 in the afternoon, finished on two-under 144 to pick up the winner's trophy.
Weinstein stuns at Glacier Junior Series
Lara Weinstein underlined her growing stature when she outplayed 36 junior boys to become the first female finalist in the series sponsored by Glacier by Sanlam since it launched in 2010.
The teenager from Dowerglen in Edenvale booked her spot in the elite winners-only field for the Series Final later this year when she claimed the Dave Usendorff Tournament with a one-under-par 71 to win by one stroke from nearest rival, Phillip Kruse, and two shots former finalist Keegan de Lange and Arno Muller.
Kim Williams picks up second Compleat Golfer Award
South Africa's top-ranked Kim Williams was awarded her second Compleat Golfer Award when the 2012 Compleat Golfer Awards dinner was held at Randpark Golf Club last night. Her award was presented by Gauteng North Vice-President Dot van Ryneveld.
Nobuhle wins the double in dramatic fashion in PE
Stroke play champion Nobuhle Dlamini picked up the double at the Eastern Cape championship today when she played an unbelievable shot from under trees to eagle the 19th hole at Port Elizabeth Golf Club and defeat Southern Cape’s Nicole Loesch in the match play final.
Nobuhle Dlamini has great win in PE
Former SA Match Play Champion Nobuhle Dlamini carded a six under par 140 to win the Eastern Cape Stroke Play Championship by seven strokes from Nicole Loesch and Boland junior Bianca Theron in Port Elizabeth on Sunday 5 February.
Ekurhuleni Women’s Golf elects its first Executive Committee
Daphne Maynier, pictured here, was elected President of the first Ekurhuleni Women’s Golf Executive at their inaugural Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday 24 January.
Women’s Golf South Africa increased its affiliated member unions to 13 in January 2012 with the inclusion of the new union.
Carrie Park wins at Zwartkop CC
Young Korean Carrie Park won the Gauteng North Junior Championship by four strokes from Western Province’s Sammy Barber when the event was played at Zwartkop Country Club on Sunday 22 January.

Alison Lee wins Annika
Alison Lee of Valencia, Calif., claimed her first Invitational title Monday at the ANNIKA Invitational at Reunion Resort. Compiling three rounds of 71 for a 3-under-par final, Lee was the only player to shoot under par through each round of the tournament, finishing four strokes ahead of Reunion's Shannon Aubert.

Lara Weinstein and Izel Pieters join 70 girls from 11 countries this week as they compete in the Annika Invitational being played at the Reunion Resort in Florida, USA.
Four SA players in final qualifying stage of LET
Four South African Ladies tee off tomorrow, Sunday 15 January in the final stage of the LET’s Qualifying School being played at La Manga Club in Cartagena, Murcia, Spain.
The players are Monique Smit (pictured) who was the only SA player to go through from round one, and Kim Williams, Iliska Verwey and Henriëtte Frylinck who all gained exemption due to their good world amateur ranking.
